Appalling! Democrat Says Kill Kids Now or Later

Alabama lawmakers made the righteous choice to ban nearly all abortions in their state.

While exceptions for serious conditions are included, the bill aims to protect the lives of all children, born or unborn.

Of course, conservatives expected the backlash. In fact, they are prepared for lower courts to strike down the ban. The overall goal is to create a law to be challenged all the way to the Supreme Court. There, Justices have the opportunity to reevaluate the landmark decision of Roe vs. Wade.

And while conservatives were prepared for an intensely emotional fight, nothing could prepare them for the vile words spewed from the left.

As Fox News tell it:

The Republican-controlled House in Alabama overwhelming approved a bill that would make it a felony to perform an abortion at any stage of a pregnancy — with a sole exemption for women whose health is at risk. The measure passed with a 74-3 vote. The bill will now advance to the state Senate.

Supporters of the legislation hope that the fight will carry on to the U.S. Supreme Court and encourage the justices to revisit the landmark Roe v Wade decision that legalized abortion in 1973.

However, one of the state-level opponents to the anti-abortion legislation, Democratic Rep. John Rogers of Birningham, spoke out against the vote.

Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later,” Rogers said.

He continued by saying some children who face abortion could be “retarded” and “half-deformed.”

Unbelievably, Rogers is shocked by the backlash.

To me, that’s the most bothersome thing about a leftist. Clearly, they don’t even comprehend the zillion ways in which they offend decent people. I mean, Howard Stern makes disgusting, vile comments about nearly everyone. But, Howard Stern knows he’s an offensive character. He doesn’t sit around believing he’s all daisies and sunshine.

Yet Mr. Rogers (no, not that Mr. Rogers) is clueless. And he actually believes everyone should adhere to his point of view.

The Backlash

But thanks to Twitter, Rogers now understands the frenzy his twisted comments created. And I hope he reads these tweets every time he’s tempted to off an unwanted child, or even weigh-in on the subject.

A Conservative Court

Obviously, the conservative majority on the Supreme Court encouraged many states to challenge Roe vs. Wade.

Fox elaborates:

The Alabama bill comes on the heels of several states considering or approving bans on abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which occurs in about the sixth week of pregnancy.

The Alabama bill attempts to go farther by banning abortion at any stage of pregnancy.

House Republicans voted down Democrats’ attempt to amend the bill to add an exemption for rape and incest. Representatives voted 72-26 to table the proposed amendment.

The text of the Alabama bill likens legalized abortion to history’s greatest atrocities, including the Holocaust.

Tuscaloosa Republican Rep. Rich Wingo, a supporter of the bill, likened abortion to murder and read statistics that estimate that there have been 60 million abortions since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision.

“I believe this chamber, this body, will never make a greater decision than today… protecting the life of an unborn child,” Wingo said.

I’m not sure what’s worse: suggesting we castrate all men to end abortion, or suggesting we just kill the unwanted children. Either way, it feels like childhood is safe around leftists. It’s definitely not Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood anymore.
