House Democrats have a direct line to the Suicide Hotline. And it’s time for an intervention.
I’d do it, but I’m having far too much fun watching them pour gasoline on themselves and strike matches.
In yet another sign of abject desperation of Democrats, Politico reports the following:
The House will vote next week to hold Attorney General William Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn in contempt of Congress for defying congressional subpoenas, according to multiple Democratic sources.
The resolution would clear the way for the House Judiciary Committee to take Barr and McGahn to court to enforce their subpoenas and are a crucial step for Democrats seeking to accelerate their obstruction of justice investigation against President Donald Trump.
“This Administration’s systematic refusal to provide Congress with answers and cooperate with Congressional subpoenas is the biggest cover-up in American history, and Congress has a responsibility to provide oversight on behalf of the American people,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said in a statement.
Barr has failed to comply with a subpoena for special counsel Robert Mueller’s fully unredacted report and underlying evidence; McGahn balked at a subpoena to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.
The vote, which will take place on June 11, will also include broad authority for congressional committees to take legal action against the Trump administration in future subpoena fights, the Democratic sources say.
The vote, supported by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Hoyer and other top members of House leadership, will authorize the House to hold the two men in civil contempt. Democrats will forgo an effort to hold them in criminal contempt, which Democratic sources described as an empty gesture because Barr in particular would never face charges from his own Justice Department.
Talk about poking the tiger. Democrats simply don’t know when to quit.
Neither Barr nor Trump fears the Democrats in the least. In fact, I suspect the two fellas get together these days just to review the lunacy.
At what point do the Democrats ask for mercy? For the naysayers, I warn you that days comes sooner than you think.
Do I really need to recap all the false-starts for the Democrats? From “national security implication” warnings on anything related to the Russian con job to Trump’s finances, Democrats make their demands.
They got Trump’s financial records, but what came of it?
Fox News reported on this almost two weeks ago.
NBC News first reported that Wells Fargo turned over a few thousand documents to the committee, and TD Bank provided a handful.
The banks are two of the nine financial institutions with which congressional Democrats are seeking cooperation. The push has led to an escalating legal battle on multiple fronts.
On Wednesday, a federal judge in New York ruled that two other banks, Deutsche Bank and Capital One, were required to comply with congressional subpoenas seeking access to Trump’s financial records.
The House Financial Services Committee and the House Intelligence Committee both have requested the documents from Deutsche Bank and Capital One in their investigations of possible “foreign influence in the U.S. political process.”
So Democrats have had Trump’s banking records for almost two weeks, and we’ve heard nothing.
A while back they wanted to impeach Trump. Then Pelosi shut it down. However, after the Mueller Report was released, Democrats cried “obstruction!”.
With no proof of obstruction, they revitalized impeachment, admitting they see this as their only (impossible) way to defeat Trump in 2020.
Why? Because Trump has America rocking. And this vexes the Left. How DARE Trump be successful. So their solution is to kick him out.
Do you think these braindead morons even see the irony?
Pelosi says Trump dares them to impeach him. He does. I will explain this in another post. But suffice it to say, “Be careful what you wish for,” Democrats.
Next gambit. Go after Barr?
Democrats can’t smell their own bullsh*t. But the rest of America smells the stench, even if they don’t. And they can’t pawn off their collusion conspiracies on us anymore.
Democrats are making an enemy of Barr. And at the worst possible time for them. Because Barr is a true DC insider who happens to believe in the system. He will see this through, and Democrat heads will roll.
