Democrat Feud Boils Over, Bernie Steps In

AOC’s latest insults suggest Nancy Pelosi’s reprimands were issued because she’s colored. However, AOC’s allegations don’t set well with most liberals.

Now, it looks like everyone is stepping in to pick a side.

Nancy Pelosi is becoming the quintessential granny of the left. And what Granny says, goes. Thus, AOC got a scolding for airing her dirty laundry on Twitter. As we mentioned earlier, Pelosi said, “…you got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it, but do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK.”

This was in response to a tweet from AOC’s camp, comparing centrist Democrats to segregationists. Afterwards, AOC behaved like a defiant juvenile, and answered with “No.” As in “no, I won’t change my Twitter habits to suit some old has been.

It looks like we’ve just identified the straw that broke the camel’s back. And this great divide will play well for conservatives in 2020.

But Pelosi is unphased, as she believes she’s got the majority on her side.

In fact, Pelosi’s standing her ground.

“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.”

Clearly, Pelosi believes Ocasio-Cortez is ultimately powerless. Especially now that so many democrats are speaking up in favor of Madame Speaker.

Fox News elaborates:

Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mo., added to the mounting Democratic criticism of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., slamming her “inappropriate” suggestion that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is singling out the New Yorker and her “squad” of fellow freshman because of their race.

Speaking to Fox News on Thursday nice, Clay hammered Ocasio-Cortez’s suggestion.

“It was such a weak argument to say she was being picked on and that four women of color were being picked on by the Speaker,” he said.

“[This] tells you the level of ignorance to American history on their part as to what we are as the Democratic Caucus.

“It is so inappropriate. So uncalled for. It does not do anything to help with unity. It was unfair to Speaker Pelosi.”

Lots to Learn

As Clay continued, he pointed out the freshman pack of legislators still has a lot to learn if they ever plan to do their jobs successfully.

“It’s going to take a process of maturing for those freshman members. They will have to learn to be effective legislators,” he said.

“It shows their lack of sensitivity to racism. To fall back on that (trope) is a weak argument. It has no place in a civil discussion.”

The lawmaker closed his remarks by suggesting the four freshmen could hurt Democratic chances in upcoming elections.

“It shows they have no sensibility to different members from our caucus. Some come from red districts and those are the ones who gave us the majority. We need them all,” he said.

It didn’t stop there. While Clay added “their ignorance is beyond belief,” a popular daytime left-leaning talk show also weighed in.

“The View” hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg criticized her’s and others’ decision to attack Democrats like Pelosi. “I think this is more BS,” Goldberg said of Ocasio-Cortez’s comments on race.

But there is one prominent leftist willing to hit Pelosi head on.

Enter Bernie Sanders

You would think someone older than dirt would more easily identify with Pelosi. Instead, Sanders took pride in egging on the radical progressives.

Fox explains:

The Vermont senator issued a call to the younger, more progressive parts of the party on Thursday, tweeting: “My message to young people: recognize your power as the most progressive generation in history.”

The comment came after Sanders took a victory lap of sorts on Wednesday, saying he had “a deep sense of satisfaction” that the Democrats have embraced positions he previously held during the 2016 election.

“Many of the ideas that I brought forth, $15-an-hour minimum wage- ‘Hey Bernie, you’re crazy, that’s too extreme,’” Sanders said on MSNBC.

He also recalled a debate in 2016 when he said climate change was the biggest “national security crisis” and how “people kind of laughed,” but they’re “not laughing today.”

Of course no one is laughing now, because no one remembers all the crazy ramblings Sanders shoots off. Let’s just clarify things for Bernie once and for all: border crisis = real. Climate change dressed as a National Security Crisis = False.

It’s really not rocket science. But common sense seems to allude both Bernie and AOC. It’s a match made in liberal paradise.
