Trump Rally Responds to Impeachment Efforts

Texas Democrat Al Green failed for a third time to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump, thus taking impeachment off the table for now.

Meanwhile, Trump’s first rally since being condemned by the House boasted standing room only along with allegiance to Donald Trump.

Much like Maxine Waters, Al Green started crying “impeachment” the day Trump took office. Twice he’s introduced a resolution to make his dream a reality. But the House was controlled by Republicans then, and Green attributed his failure to the balance of power. However, the House is now under Democrat control. Thus, Green announced his plans to try again.

According to Green, Trump’s comments pushed him over the edge. Of course, we’re referring to Trump’s suggestion that anyone unhappy here could always go home. Like most leftists, Green tried to frame Trump’s words as racism, and then he doubled down on his pursuit of impeachment.

The Hill quoted Green:

“To condemn a racist president is not enough, we must impeach him. This will be a defining vote. The world is watching, and history will judge us all.”

Let me just say this. As soon as I saw this statement from Al Green, I called it. This would turn out embarrassing for the liberal Texan.

The Hill went on to say:

In a House floor speech earlier Tuesday, Green said his latest impeachment measure would be similar to his previous articles of impeachment that accused Trump of inflaming racial tensions in America.
Under House rules, the chamber would have to take up Green’s resolution within two legislative days after he introduced it. Introducing the resolution on Tuesday would mean a floor vote — either a direct up-or-down vote or a motion to table it — by Thursday.
Some Democrats in favor of impeachment said Tuesday that Green’s timing isn’t ideal.
Green dismissed the idea that his impeachment effort could draw more support after Mueller testifies next week.
“The Mueller testimony will have no impact on this,” Green told reporters outside the House chamber. “They’re totally separate issues in terms of impeachment.”

Famous Last Words

If you’re a consumer of country music, you know all about the famous last words of a fool. Green would be better off had he kept his plans under wraps. Then his failure might’ve slipped through the cracks. Instead, Green put the word on the street, promising to be the one to bring down the President.

Twenty-four hours later, we know how it all went down. Green did, in fact, try to impeach the president. But he failed miserably.

According to Fox News:

Lawmakers voted 332-95 to table Green’s resolution, which was widely opposed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other top Democrats worried that the measure would force vulnerable swing-district lawmakers into peril ahead of the 2020 elections. The bipartisan vote shelved any chance of bringing forth articles of impeachment against Trump in the near future.

“The president has committed an impeachable offense,” Green said on the House floor earlier on Wednesday. “Yesterday, we condemned him for that. Today is our opportunity to punish him.”

137 Democrats voted in favor of tabling the resolution compared to just 95 who voted against shelving it. Only one lawmaker, Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., voted present.

Instead of moving ahead with articles of impeachment, most democrats have appeared to prefer waiting to see if a stronger case for removal could be developed that would win broader public support, and they’re eagerly awaiting next week’s scheduled testimony to two House committees by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“With all due respect in the world for him, we have six committees that are working on following the facts in terms of any abuse of power, obstruction of justice and the rest that the president may have engaged in,” Pelosi said. “That is the serious path that we’re on.”

Surprise, surprise! Dems hang their hopes on Mueller, again.

Meanwhile in MAGA Country

Trump held his first rally since the drama unfolded in North Carolina. And guess what? The coliseum, which holds 8,000 people, didn’t have an empty seat in the house. Thousands were packed in to listen to the President and thousands more gathered outside.

Lines for this North Carolina rally formed at 1am.

These Trumpers lined up starting at 1am and waited all night and day to get in and be part of a Trump rally. Obviously, we all know these rallies will go down in history, because Trump takes his message straight to the people. He doesn’t wait for the media to get the word out.

And if Democrats think they ruffled Trump’s feathers with the threat of impeachment, they may want to watch this video.

In fact, cheers of “we want Trump” echoed so loudly, Trump had to wait for the crowd to calm themselves before continuing his remarks about Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren.

And hearing Trump address ObamaCare, taxes, drug prices, criminal  justice reform, and all the issues we still face, the crowd only loved him more. That’s because of promises made and promises kept. Show me the democrat who knows how to do that.
