Democrats thought they found their rock star when AOC quickly rose to political icon status. But they didn’t count of one fundamental aspect of her personality.
AOC is a spoiled, entitled brat. And sharing isn’t her forte.
Apparently, AOC breezed through democrat fundraising records. Which shouldn’t be hard to do, considering democrats can barely raise enough money for a box of Girls Scout cookies. (Are they still Girl Scout cookies, or are they Gender Neutral Outdoor Enthusiast snacks?)
She even beat Bernie Sanders in filling her buckets. But leftists aren’t happy. Because AOC’s leaving her party-mates high and dry.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has already topped the fundraising charts in her short time in Congress, but the liberal darling won’t donate a cent of her millions to Democrats’ House campaign organization — a position that has rankled some of her colleagues, Fox News has learned.
Instead, Ocasio-Cortez is building her own fundraising operation for fellow progressive candidates to bypass the official Democratic Party infrastructure. Already, she’s actively funding primary challengers to oust certain Democratic colleagues.

“Sometimes the question comes: ‘Do you want to be in a majority or do you want to be in the minority?’” Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., told Fox News, when asked about AOC’s stance. “And do you want to be part of a team?”
Another source was less diplomatic: “Deadbeat Cortez should pay her bills,” complained a House Democratic aide. “She’s always whining about people paying their fair share and here she is leaving her friends with the bill.”
DNC vs AOC
It will be interesting to see how long it takes the DNC to blacklist AOC. Clearly, she doesn’t play ball. And we all know AOC and Pelosi already butt heads. So this refusal to give up the cash will create an even bigger personality class.

Their gripe is that Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t given any money to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party arm with the sole job of electing Democrats to the House. Records obtained by Fox News show the New York Democrat has failed to pay any of her $250,000 in “dues” to the DCCC.
Her goose egg of a contribution is no accident. Ocasio-Cortez says she has beef with the DCCC and she’ll withhold her money in protest of how the Democratic Party won’t back insurgent progressive primary candidates, like herself, in the name of protecting incumbents.
“For me personally, I’m not paying D-trip dues,” said Ocasio-Cortez, using slang for the DCCC and citing a “myriad of reasons.”
“One, I don’t agree with the policy around blacklisting groups that help progressive candidates,” she said, referring to a DCCC effort to sideline vendors who assist challengers to members of Congress. “I think we need to evolve as a party and make room for that.”
In other words, AOC wants to bring in more idiots. That way, she won’t feel so alone when she suggests something as stupid as eliminating cow farts to improve the environment. Thus, AOC is using her money to help clean out the incumbents.
Much Ado About Nothing
While Democrats are in a tailspin over AOC’s fundraising, the actual figures are comical.
Consider this:
In the third quarter of 2019, she raised $1.42 million — more than any other House Democrat. She beat out top Democrats like Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff by rejecting corporate PAC dollars and traditional high-dollar fundraisers and instead relying on grassroots small-dollar fans who are rooting for the young pol and her unapologetic fight for progressive ideals, like the Green New Deal.
Her fourth-quarter fundraising is even bigger. Her campaign nearly hit its goal of raising $2 million in the final three months of 2019 from online donors from every state. That amount puts her 2019 fundraising at more than $5 million, a groundbreaking amount for the youngest female ever elected to Congress.
These sound like big impressive numbers. Until you factor in Donald Trump.
According to The Hill:
The Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee (RNC) and their associated groups brought in more than $154 million in the fourth quarter of 2019, ending the year with nearly $195 million in the bank.
The massive haul includes roughly $46 million raised by the Trump campaign alone in the last three months. The RNC raked in $72.3 million in that same period.
Obviously, Trump made chump change of AOC’s fundraising. In fact, I bet Trump raises AOC’s entire fourth quarter earnings every times he gives a speech.
And Democrats surely don’t need more division among them. Typically, I’d take a guess and say Pelosi should get her freshman in check. But well all know Nancy’s too busy trying to salvage her articles of impeachment to even notice AOC’s antics. Thus, the New Yorker will continue to leave the DNC hanging. But if money talks, I think it’s safe to say no one is listening to AOC. Except for a few looney leftists.
