Booker Bites the Dust

Oh dear! Democrats are running out of options, and fast. Corey Booker just made his departure from the campaign trail official.

Of course, it’s been a long time since Booker was called a contender. Let’s face it. The only reason democrats put Booker on the ballot was to win the black vote. They thought they could package Booker as Obama 2.0.

However, Trump’s constantly rising performance will be hard to beat. And certainly, color won’t be enough to out the greatest president in modern history.

As Kevin Jackson recently pointed out:

Black people may be waking up, and I will take some credit for it. After all, my team has been doing this for 10 years now. Regardless of who gets credit, it’s clear from this thread that black people aren’t merely handing their vote to Harris or Booker. They say Democrats of any color will need to earn their vote.

Thus, Booker must rely on his savvy smarts to get his name on the final ballot. And sadly, savvy smarts are something Booker completely lacks.

In fact, we know Booker isn’t the brightest crayon in the box just by looking at his own fundraising. But it’s not just Booker’s lack of funding at play. For quite some time, Booker was considered to be a sellout. He let big pharma pave his way.

According to PolitiFact:

Booker first ran for Senate in 2013. Since then, people and groups tied to the pharmaceutical/health products industry have given Booker $411,948.

Of course, in the past two years, Booker shunned big pharma donations, but let’s get real. He didn’t do that because his conscious finally got him. Booker shunned those dollars in an effort to save a little political-face.

I’m sure Booker believed another big money spender would land in his lap and keep him in the ring. But there’s not a dollar in the United States that would favor Booker over Donald Trump, so why waste the cash flow on a sure-loser?

Booker’s Out

With no money left, no resources to tap, and no crowd to feed him positive vibes, Booker finally accepted the truth. He’s a guaranteed loser.

As Politico reports:

Cory Booker suspended his presidential campaign Monday, conceding that he no longer sees a path to victory due to a lack of financial resources.

“Friend, it’s with a full heart that I share this news — I’ve made the decision to suspend my campaign for president,” the New Jersey senator said in a Medium post and an email to supporters.

But don’t worry, Booker has a back-up plan. He intends to run for re-election to his Senate seat.

Who wants to bet Booker loses that Senate seat too?

If there’s anything Booker’s presidential campaign taught us, it’s just how far Booker will go to strip us of our rights.

According to Booker, we need to turn in our guns and surrender the right to bare arms. And he wanted to implement a gun buy-back program to facilitate such a move. Of course, Booker failed to consider one crucial fact in all that mumbo-jumbo. Only law-abiding citizens follow the law. DUH!

Clearly, Booker has absolutely no problem stripping us of our 2nd Amendment rights, and he won’t lose any sleep at night knowing only the criminals are armed. Undoubtedly, Booker is out of touch with reality.

The recent tragedy in Texas should be enough to make leftists like Booker see the light.

As you likely recall, the mass shooting in Texas claimed only two lives. Although two lives is certainly two too-many, it could’ve been much worse. A similar church shooting in Texas claimed 26 lives and left 20 wounded in 2017.

Then Texas passed a law allowing guns into places of worship. The result of that legislation is clear. Once the gunman open fired at the West Freeway Church of Christ, it took all of six seconds to take him out. At least five men were seen drawing weapons to stop the mad-man. And the gunman, Keith Thomas Kinnunen, didn’t get away with killing countless victims. Instead, he got a ticket to the other side.

You can bet Americans will consider the tale of two Texas churches when they head to the polls.

Bye-Bye Booker

Ironically, Booker tried to make his exit more about impeachment. As if he’s doing the country some big favor by working on the attack of Donald Trump.

Politico continues:

Booker’s exit from the 2020 race comes ahead of Tuesday’s debate in Iowa — he failed to meet the polling threshold in every approved survey to participate. It also comes near the beginning of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate, which would have taken him off the campaign trail in the crucial early states at a time when he was hoping to surge.

“It was a difficult decision to make, but I got in this race to win, and I’ve always said I wouldn’t continue if there was no longer a path to victory,” Booker said. “Our campaign has reached the point where we need more money to scale up and continue building a campaign that can win — money we don’t have, and money that is harder to raise because I won’t be on the next debate stage and because the urgent business of impeachment will rightly be keeping me in Washington.”

Focus on Impeachment?

It’s hilarious that Booker framed his exit as a way to “focus on impeachment.” What will he say when that, too, falls apart? The real truth is that Booker’s just broke. He barely raised $6.6 million in the final three months of 2019. Meanwhile, Democrat heavy-weights bragged of sums hovering at $20 million each. But don’t think they’re gaining traction, because $20M is nothing in a race like this. Trump makes democrat dollars look like chump change.

The Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee (RNC) and their associated groups brought in more than $154 million in the fourth quarter of 2019, ending the year with nearly $195 million in the bank.

The massive haul includes roughly $46 million raised by the Trump campaign alone in the last three months. The RNC raked in $72.3 million in that same period.

You know what they say, money talks. And bull-shitters like Corey Booker are forced to walk away.
