Schiff: Trump Meddling in Democrat Primary

It’s just a matter of time before Adam Schiff tries for Impeachment 2.0. This time Schiff will accuse President Trump of meddling in the Democrat primary.

Clearly President Trump loves triggering Leftists. And he did so recently when he tweeted to Crazy Bernie, “Don’t let them take it away from you!”

The president references the theft that occurred during the 2016 campaign, where Sanders got the nomination stolen from him.

“Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada. Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates,” Trump tweeted, shortly before NBC News projected Sanders would win. “Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you!”

Since the 2016 primary, Trump has frequently suggested that the Democratic National Committee is working against Sanders to keep him from winning the party’s nomination.

How Could They?

A scenario receiving increased attention involves Sanders arriving at the Democratic National Convention this summer having won more delegates than any other candidate but not enough for the nomination and then being outmaneuvered by Democratic deal making to give the nomination to someone else because they believe the democratic socialist and self-proclaimed revolutionary can’t beat Trump.

Many Sanders supporters felt the DNC favored Hillary Clinton in 2016 and again prefers a more centrist candidate this time around as the nominee — a chasm in the Democratic Party that Trump frequently likes to capitalize on.

“The Kremlin is reportedly backing Bernie Sanders bid to win the White House,” Trump tweeted. “Why didn’t somebody tell me this?”

Watch Out for Russians

According to recent reports, the Russians are, in fact, hoping to push Sanders into the White House.

Fox News tell us:

On Friday, the Washington Post reported that U.S. officials have determined Moscow is attempting to interfere in the Democratic primary race on Sanders’ behalf. Sanders responded by disavowing the alleged Russian efforts.

“I don’t care, frankly, who [Russian President Vladimir] Putin wants to be president,” Sanders said in a statement. “My message to Putin is clear: stay out of American elections, and as president I will make sure that you do.”

According to the Post, officials have told the Sanders campaign that Russia is working to boost the socialist as part of an effort to meddle in the Democratic presidential primary. The story, citing people familiar with the matter, said Trump and lawmakers on Capitol Hill have also been informed of the Russian attempts.

Considering Sanders’ track record, he might be smart to accept any help he can get. However, this tidbit did spark a testy exchange between the President and Adam Schiff.

Enter Shifty Schiff

Trump and Schiff sparred on Twitter just before the Nevada caucuses regarding the Russians and Bernie. According to the President, Schiff’s vendetta against him explains many of the reports claiming the Russians are backing Trump again.

So far, Trump hasn’t led us astray. Thus, I’m inclined to believe his assessment of the situation.

Ole’ Shifty didn’t quite see things the same way, as he responded:

But like I said, so far, the President hasn’t been the one to steer us wrong.
