AG Barr Gives Bolton Interesting Dilemma

Ouch! John Bolton now faces a painful solution to his book controversies. As AG Barr put it, if Bolton doesn’t remove the classified information from his book, he will “forfeit” his profits to the US Government.

And the timing couldn’t be better. Think about if. If leftists run out in droves to buy this anti-Trump garbage, the profits could fund something far more important. And the list of needs during this hoax pandemic is longer than a country mile.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Barr had all the answers:

BARTIROMO: What about John Bolton, the DOJ’s breach-of-contract suit against the former national security adviser?

Is it too late now to push back?

BARR: I don’t think it’s too late, because what we’re asking is for him to complete the process before the book is published, complete the process of taking out classified material.

And, in our view, there remains — there remains very highly classified material in the book still. And we would like him to address that. So, under the law, we are bringing a civil action to enforce his agreement that he would do that before publishing.

The remedy, if he doesn’t complete it, is that he forfeits any money from that book to the government.

BARTIROMO: How did you get involved? Did the president ask you to get involved in this?

BARR: No, actually, he didn’t. I mean, this would have been in the normal course.
The process is run through the National Security Council, called pre- publication review, for any book. And as that wasn’t completed, the National Security Council contacted us. So, that’s initially how the DOJ got involved.

BARTIROMO: How often do you speak to the president?

BARR: I would say very regularly.

And, for all the leftists listening, Bartiromo asked Barr the question on every Democrat’s mind.

BARTIROMO: Are you doing [Trump’s] bidding?

BARR: I’m enforcing the law.

And as I said when I was confirmed, any — anything within the four walls of the Department of Justice, any matter is going to be handled strictly on the laws, the law and the facts. It’s going to be reflecting our independent judgment of what the law requires.

Of course, the truth is that Bolton loved Trump, until Trump disposed of him. And now he’s out for revenge.

Judge Favors Bolton

Saturday, a federal judge ruled that Bolton’s book could move forward.

According to NPR:

The release of former national security adviser John Bolton’s new book, The Room Where It Happened, remains on track after a federal judge on Saturday rejected the Trump administration’s request to block its release.

Judge Royce Lamberth of the D.C. District Court said that Bolton may still be facing legal trouble and that because of a rush to print, it was likely his book contains classified information.

But with hundreds of thousands of copies of the book already out for sale, according to its publisher, the judge ruled that the administration’s efforts had come too late. “The damage is done,” he wrote in a 10-page opinion.

“Defendant Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability,” Lamberth concluded. “But these facts do not control the motion before the Court. The government has failed to establish that an injunction will prevent irreparable harm.”

Now What?

Since the book is moving forward, so should the collection of royalties. And President Trump clearly agrees.

BIG COURT WIN against Bolton. Obviously, with the book already given out and leaked to many people and the media, nothing the highly respected Judge could have done about stopping it…BUT, strong & powerful statements & rulings on MONEY & on BREAKING CLASSIFICATION were made….
