Trump won’t let up on Biden. Particularly now that Biden left his bunker to engage in the campaign. Now Biden will feel the pressure.
On that note, Trump recently increased the pressure.
Not long ago, TBS wrote that President Trump took what seemed like a comical jab at Biden. He suggested that he and Biden take drug tests. I wrote:
Trump is treating this election like a sports event. And he is in his prime.
But though he knows he can knock Biden (and the Democrats) out with one punch, he still plays pre-fight games with them.
This reminds me of Floyd Mayweather, likely the best boxer in history who asked for Manny Pacquiao to be drug tested. Mayweather knew he could beat Pacquiao, but that wasn’t the point. He wanted to show the world that he was clean, but Pacquaio was suspect.
Trump has accomplished the same with Biden.
I knew then what I know now. President Trump wasn’t kidding about drug-testing.
And as The Hill reported, Trump has renewed his calls for drug tests:
President Trump on Tuesday reiterated his call for both candidates to take a drug test ahead of the presidential debates this month, claiming without evidence that Democratic nominee Joe Biden is “on some kind of an enhancement.”
“He’s on some kind of an enhancement in my opinion,” Trump told Laura Ingraham on Fox News. “And I say we should both — I should take a drug test, so should he. Because we don’t want to have a situation where a guy is taking some kind of…
“It’s like athletes?” Ingraham asked, seeking clarity on what Trump was alleging.
“No. No. I want to take one,” Trump said. “I’ll take one, he’ll take one. we should both take a drug test.”
The president built his claim around the idea that Biden had dramatically improved his debate performance before his one-on-one debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in March.
The mere possibility that Biden is drugged raises doubts about his ability to perform. But Trump knows Biden can’t perform, drugged or not drugged. So he’s a lawyer asking a question he knows the answer to. Now, he just waits on the witness to lie, to spring the trap.
And this strategy will work.
Biden finds himself in a no-win situation. If he doesn’t test, he’s a drug-taking coward. If he does take the test, then Trump got him to do what he wants.
Worse, if Biden takes the test and shows he’s not taking drugs, people will know with certainty that he just a straight up idiot without any medication. An idiot who Trump chumped. But if Biden is taking drugs, that will prove Trump’s allegations.
See. No-win situation for Biden and the donkeycrats.
Does Trump need Biden to take a drug test to win the election? Of course not. But Trump’s strategy puts one more nail in the Democrats’ coffin.
What should we look for?
Watch as the debates move closer. Trump will continue promoting drug testing to get inside Biden’s damaged brain. But also because Trump believes in testing.
Trump tests himself to make sure that he’s still all there. He believes that the president has a responsibility to assure the public that he functions at full capacity. Cleverly, Trump separates himself from Biden. Thus, Trump is willing to prove his ability; Biden, not so much.
