Why Ted Cruz’ SCORCHING of Trevor Noah is a BIG DEAL

You might have missed this very big deal. Ted Cruz called out hack Trevor Noah.

Why is this a big deal? Typically, you don’t want to mess with funny people. Because real comedic wits will crush you with humor.

I remember in French class in college, watching a French film called Ridicule. The gist of the show is the lord of a manor must go to see the king to ask for help in draining his swamp. The mosquitoes are giving the villagers malaria, thus the lord has no peasants to work for him.

He ventures from the country to the big town, where he learns that the bureaucratic process is long and tedious. At a lunch he expresses his desperation with one of the people attempting to help him. While at lunch one of the city’s “wits” visits, making fun of the lord. The lord responds with witty repartee, besting the sophisticate without really trying.

His new suitor recognizes his wit immediately. He then explains that showcasing wit could get him an audience with the king.

I will leave it there for you to decide if you want to watch the film, though I highly recommend it.

Back to Cruz.

As The Hill explained, Cruz played the role of the lord. He went to court and demolished comedic hack Trevor Noah:

In a segment on Noah’s show Tuesday evening, the host commented on news that New York was 89 people short of keeping one of its 27 House seats. At the same time, Texas gained more new residents than any other state, picking up two new House seats for the next legislative session.

“This is unbelievable,” Noah said. “You’re telling me that if just 89 more New Yorkers had filled out their census, the state wouldn’t have lost a House seat?”

He continued, “Aside from New York getting screwed, the big news out of the census is that America’s population grew at the slowest rate since the 1930s.”

“Basically, immigration is down and the birth rate is falling, primarily due to this photo,” he said, before showing an image of Cruz wearing a baseball cap.

Noah added that the 1930s “sucked for America,” due in part to events like the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl.

Noah is truly the most unfunny of the so-called comedians on the Left. Every time I see his stupid commercials, I realize how right we conservatives are in fighting against these asswipes. They have NO idea what reality is anymore.

The Hill continues,

Cruz responded to the segment in a Wednesday morning tweet, writing, “Trevor Noah whines that people are fleeing high-tax blue states & moving in droves to low-tax states like Texas, where the jobs are.”

The Texas senator then added that Noah “doesn’t understand why people like freedom.”

“Also predicts the Biden years will be the Great Depression,” Cruz added on the Tuesday clip.

No offense to Ted, but he’s not exactly known for his comedic wit. Yet, with pure facts, Cruz bitch-slapped Noah. And without much effort.

But the battle waged on.

Minutes later, the “Daily Show’s” official Twitter account hit back at the senator, writing, “Not sure I’d be using the words ‘fleeing’ and ‘Texas’ in the same sentence, Senator Cancun,” referencing Cruz’s widely criticized brief trip to Mexico with his family in February as his home state battled a severe winter storm.

A little more than an hour later, Cruz again tweeted, writing, “I wear your scorn with pride. I remember when the Daily Show was funny.”

Boom! Cruz dropped a nuke on Noah. The not-so-secret secret. Noah is as funny as watching a slug.

Cruz knows it. And so do the people who prop up that non-funny clown.

Cruz went to court and won in the battle of “Ridicule.” And this is a big deal. Because when comedians can’t make fun of you, you win.

Cruz proved that Leftists have NOTHING to laugh at except themselves. A guy who doesn’t make his living at comedy heckled the so-called comedian off the stage.

Cruz won. Conservatism won. America won.
